I was uber excited to join the American Quilter’s Society yesterday at the quilt festival!
I’m not too sure what the perks are of joining, aside the pin and the 6 issue subscription, but I’m sure I will find out soon!

I’m just excited to have a little pin and attend the quilt festival!
I bought this program to pose for you all on my blog, hehe, photo courtesy of my boyfriend who thinks I’m showing too much skin. Men!
I’ve been encouraged over and over again by my new fellow quilting friends to attend this “Road to California Quilter’s Conference” coming up in January 2014; Coincidently enough, I’ve been having this epiphany of making a small wall hanging of Sublime with Rome‘s new album cover “Yours truly” and entering it in some sort of quilting showcase.
I think I want to tackle my first quilters conference and showcase at this upcoming event ! 🙂
Am I jumping in too quickly ? What should I expect?
What did you experience submitting a quilted piece at a showcase?
Please let me know your thoughts and some tips and advice on what I can do to make the best of this new experience! 🙂

Are you part of any quilters associations or guilds or clubs?
I want to join a guild.. But I don’t think I’d be good enough just yet.. Lol they’d yell at me and kick me out for sewing crooked seams on the group quilt! Lol I’m not ready for that!!

I am part of Minnesota Quilters, but I would decline any invites t do a group quilt. lol. I like doing things my way. Haha

I’m looking into local guilds , and have already been asked to join a friends quilting circle.
But I’ve heard some of the women talk smack about “that woman” who’s seams were horrible and they don’t want to invite “her” anymore.. Lol I don’t want that to be me!!
I have my own crazy way of sewing and quilting.. And well, it’s enough for me! Lol I don’t want the added pressure of quilting someone for a WHOLE group!
