On Valentine’s Day, remember that knitting needles last longer than flowers!

Happy belated Valentine’s Day everyone!

We were super stoked for this Valentine’s Day, it was our first MARRIED Valentine’s Day! 🙂

Naturally , as the day approached, we told each other “Don’t get me anything babe! ” and wouldn’t you believe it …we both got each other some nice things!

He went to get his coffee that morning and I ran to grab his gift and when he came back to the room, he had a gift for me and we chuckled, “I told you that I didn’t need anything honey!” Hahaha

We just couldn’t help ourselves! Since we got married , 10/07/2017, everything has been so sublime! I love saying “my husband” or ” We just got married”! It’s certainly ongoing Honeymoon Vibes and I love it!

We might have gone a little overboard… but can you really love TOO much?

He bought me a cute “Love You More!” picture frame, “You’re so Damn Pretty” socks , lots of knitting needles and 2 dozens of chocolate covered strawberries for our family! Actually , the message on the strawberries was “to the beautiful ladies in our family, from the men in our family! <3” They were delicious!

I got him a cookie from Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen. We just adore the Roloff Family and feel like we know them since watching their show on tv! So when Amy mentioned on the show creating her own business selling baked goods, her salsa and other delicious things, we knew we had to support her!

A week before Valentine’s Day, her post about Valentine’s Day cookies popped up in my feed and I knew what I’d get Brad: one big cookie!

It’s a shortbread cookie with the tastiest butter flavor and a delicious fondant or frosting or whatever this is called, it’s good! Thank you Amy! We have to try your other cookies and loafs next!

Can I take a moment to brag about my new knitting needles, tips, cords and double pointed needles from Knit Picks!?

I have been crocheting for 10 years now and decided that it’s finally time to learn how to knit! I tried with the basic Boye “Learn to Knit” kit and the round needles were too slippery, I couldn’t grasp knitting, literally. I read a comment on a knitting Facebook group about these squared knitting needles and I wanted to try them. Once I tried the FourSquare short tip interchangeable knitting needles, knitting just clicked!! I’m still learning to purl, increase and decrease, but these needles really help me learn to knit. I also got some double pointed knitting needles to learn how to make socks!

I’ll be doing a blog post about my knitting journey, where to begin if you’ve been wanting to learn and what I’ve learned in a week or two!

Thank you for joining our journey, I’ve got so much to share with you soon! 🙂

I hope that you had a nice Valentine’s Day !

Eat some ice cream and love one another!
