Kitty Monday! I’m playing fetch with Jeanie :)

I interrupt your lovely Monday to share some adorable video links and pictures of my baby girl, Jeanie!!
Before you get lost in the collection of pictures, here are the links that I want to share with you! It’s about Jeanie, she loves to play fetch! I have never known a cat to play fetch!!! But Jeanie plays with this green toy/ Pom-Pom and then brings it to me and drops it by my feet and paws at me to toss it so that she can fetch it!! And then she brings it back to me!! We do this for about half an hour almost every day now! I don’t know how she learned that, but she loves it! I have yet to record her “fetching” more than once, but here are a couple of snippets, enjoy!

Jeanie has been quite the blessing in my life, she crossed my path in February of this year. I took the boys, Timmy and Raymond, to get their annual shots and I wandered into the shelter and found Jeanie! I rescued her two days before she was scheduled to be put down. They had found her under a truck, on a dirt road, with a handful of other kittens thought to be her siblings. But she had a bad scratch on her left eye, had upper feline respiratory infection (kitty flu) and wasn’t “responding” too much when they had her in a little cage.
Heck, if I was dumped on the side of the road, 5 inches tall, left to starve and then captured and shoved in a tiny cage, I’d be scared out of my mind!!!

When I went to pick her up, the security guy said “she doesn’t want to eat, she hasn’t moved all day, if the animal dies, there’s a 30 day policy. Just come in and adopt another one”…. I didn’t appreciate how nonchalant he said that. She wasn’t JUST an animal, but I disregarded him.
I brought her home, nurtured her to health and my world has just been filled with so much MORE love and joy!!!!
I don’t think I have to explain in words how happy we have been with such a beautiful addition to my family, here are pictures for you to see and enjoy! 🙂

Yes, she plays fetch! It’s the cutest thing ever!! Jeanie is really crawling her way into my heart, just like my baby Ray! 🙂

  1. Awww. Love all the pics. My kids and I would drop off supplies to our local humane society every other week or so. Every time we would, we would take some time to pet the cats. I’d like to say ours stood out but he didn’t. It wasn’t until we found out that he’d been there the longest and they were giving him away for free that we decided we needed to take Fred home. He has been the best cat ever. I can’t imagine how we ever got along without him!

    1. Wow, what a story! Well I like to say, furrbabies make their ways into our lives one way or another, and either way, they’re a blessing! 🙂
And it sounds like a blessing well deserve, I am happy to hear that you and your family help out shelters and charity, that’s so important and not done ENOUGH now a days!
Thanks for reading! Can’t wait to see pictures of Fred!
