My blogging delay..

I am very sorry for the delay in my blogging, I have so many things in mind to post and so many things to work on and so little time!!
Does anyone else struggle with keeping up with all of your projects AND blogging AND running a household or working or school?!?

I thought I would take a minute from my hectic day to post what I’ve accomplished in the last couple of days. 🙂

Our old shed was falling apart, being used by the raccoons up here when it rained, and well, it was time to tear it down and build a new one.
Our contractor is incredible! He tore down the old shed, extended the cement driveway and built a whole new shed, about 8′ by 10′ !
With a door and locks and windows like a little studio-ish! 🙂 uber cute and we love it!
Since the shed was completed, we managed to fill it with unused house appliances, the boxes of new appliances, luggage, and boxes of books we will never read!

After my walk-in closet was getting full of fabric stashes and my new sewing machine , I knew I had to bite the bullet and clean out the shed! Here’s how I started tackling this big project to turn my shed into my new crafty room.
Yes, I call it my “crafty room” 🙂

Here’s big boy Timmy, he’s a little over 6 years old and is the only outdoors cat. 🙂 Just how ray is in my indoor project posts, Timmy will be in my outdoor project posts.

See Timmy’s crooked tail? 🙂 we don’t know why his tail is like that, it’s not broken nor has he been in any accidents, his tail is just unique! Like every single one of us on this beautiful planet<3

My boyfriend is so patient and supportive of my crazy ideas; As we were cleaning out the shed and determining what was staying and going, I would have my moments of frustration with not being able to be done already or the shed not being quite what I WANT it to be.
And he just continued to ask what I wanted and brainstormed ideas on how we can get the shed to how I wanted it.
After all of the hauling, sweating and organizing , I can say that my crafty room is almost ready!! 🙂
I still have some work to do to have it in working order, but here’s a sneak peak as to what it currently looks like.

I will post more pictures and tutorials later tonight if all goes well with organizing my crafty room. In the mean time, how do you think I should make the best use of space in my crafty room? I have one long shelve on the left wall and a blank wall on the right that is only occupied with a table for sewing.
My walls are bare on the inside, I’m thinking of getting our contractor to cover the side walls with perforated hardboard to hang and organize my supplies, and maybe some wall hanging quilts and projects.
Here’s a Pinterest page that shows just how I’d like to organize my things in my crafty room.

Do you use perforated hardboards for your organizing?
🙂 I’d love to see your crafty room and hear your thoughts and advice on how to make my crafty room more efficient !

Toodles for now,
Diana and Timmy ❤

    1. I’m very fortunate to be able to use the whole the shed as my crafty room 🙂
We all use what we can to make it work, and if we ever won the lottery, we’d buy a big house to organize ALL of our projects and fabric! 🙂

  1. What a lovely space to create! We used perforated hardboard in our garage to organize and loved it. I hung all off my gardening tools so they were easy to find.

I love your kitty’s tail. Such an adorable little quirk.

    1. I’m über excited to craft in my new shed! 🙂 I just posted a picture loaded blog sharing what my new crafty room looks like right now! Let me know your thoughts and any tips on how to better organize my room. I’m considering covering both open walls with perforated hardwood to display projects and hang patterns and knickknacks. So updates on that soon, I have yet to call my contractor to come and help me better improve my crafting room 🙂

And big Timmy says thank you 🙂 he appreciates being called a unique little fellow!
He sleeps on my neighbors cars often, when I see my neighbors, they comment “your crooked tailed kitty was sleeping on my car again, why is his tail crooked again??” Lol
      Do you have any kitties?
